Portrait of Shiling Liang

Shiling Liang 梁师翎

Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Fudan University (from early 2027)

Shiling Liang is a theoretical physicist working on nonequilibrium thermodynamics and living systems, with the aim of identifying the general principles that govern them.

The research is organised around three questions. What general constraints govern systems far from equilibrium? How do these constraints shape and limit the behaviour of living systems? And how can we challenge and refine our conventional intuitions about thermodynamics?
