The group starts in the Department of Physics at Fudan University in early 2027. We hope to work with people who like to turn a question about living systems into a model they can solve.
Positions

PhD students 博士研究生
PhD students do theoretical research across nonequilibrium physics. We guide each student closely, and with that support they are free to explore, shape their own projects and build collaborations beyond the group.
We look for students who are curious about how the physical world works, living or not, and who like to understand it through theory and derivations. A background in physics, mathematics, chemistry or a related field helps, but what matters most is a real interest in science.

Postdoctoral researchers 博士后
Postdocs join the group’s research directions and work with a great deal of independence, and we support their applications to postdoctoral fellowship programmes.
We look for highly motivated researchers with a PhD in physics or a related field, who think independently and like to follow their own ideas.

Research internships 科研实习
Students join the group’s research and work on a clearly defined question that they can carry through to a result.
We look for students who enjoy working things out with pen and paper.

Visitors and collaborators 访问与合作
We welcome short visits and joint projects with theorists and experimentalists. Write to us with a question you would like to work on together.
We look for anyone with a good question about energy, information and function in living systems.
